This list is started especially
for the loving ("sayang") mothers ("Ibu" in
Malay) in Malaysia. All mothers are welcome, not matter if you are
expecting mother or a new mother or an experience mother, a mother
with children from any age to share their problems, tips, recommendation
and experiences. Not to leave out - fathers are also welcome!! Topic
discussed can be from getting pregnant, pregnancy, preparing for
motherhood, breastfeeding, childcare, anything related to parenting.
As majority of the members are breastfeeding; we hope that it would
be an encouragement and is helpful to new mothers to start their
breastfeeding journey.

We
are a group of Malaysian nursing mothers who are bonded by the same
passion for breastfeeding & expressing to nurture our children.
We share nursing experience, thought, support and friendship with
each other and newcomers alike. Our main aim is to promote and support
breastfeeding right here in Malaysia. We hope to be able to provide
mother to mother support and occassional medical feedback backed
by supportive medical professionals to all experienced and aspiring
mother-&-baby couples. LATEST! Check out our new website at
www.mymomsbest.com and join the forum.

The
Asia Parents' List is an email discussion & support group. It
was started back in 1997 and has fone through much changes. We started
with the group hosted on our own servers, courtesy of relatives.
Then when it outgrew that, we went onto ONELIST and is now hosted
on Yahoo Groups. The group is run and managed by mother volunteers
- people just like you. Most of the parents are from Singapore with
the rest being Asian or from the Asian region. Topics discussed
range from Pregnancy, Preparing for Parenthood, Breastfeeding, Childcare
& Parenting in general. The group has become very popular and
grows quickly in size by the day.
This list began as a support group of women, who, for a number of
reasons, use a breast pump to supply their children with mother's
milk. Pump activity varies from occassional to full-time use. This
group discusses pumping and related topics (ie. lactation problems,
supply boosters...etc)

Sometimes
the most useful breastfeeding support is to know that another mother
has been there. Hearing what breastfeeding is like for other women
can also be helpful if you don't have a lot of breastfeeding friends
or family members and are trying to figure out what it is like.
